One True Living God

1 Samuel 17:26-27, “Then David spoke to the men who stood by him, saying, ‘What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?’ And the people answered him in this manner, saying, ‘So shall it be done for the man who kills him.’”
This is the first time in the Bible we hear David speak and David’s concern was for the Glory of God!
David said Goliath was messing with the armies of the living God. You know why he said that? Because there’s only one true living God. Every other belief system, no matter how sincere a person may be, they’re worshipping gods that don’t exist.
He couldn’t believe someone had the nerve to speak against the Living God of Israel. The God who made the universe in that way.
